Daps began his career in the media industry as a video producer in New York and London. His video production career professionally kicked off in 2010 and he began directing music videos in 2012.

Although he had a brief detour in 2013 where he tried to launch his own music career, he has since dropped music and focused on creating memorable music videos.

A really impressive career

While Daps' best work might be his stellar direction on Kendrick Lamar's "King Kunta" music video, his biggest feat might be writing the concept for Iggy Azalea's Clueless-themed "Fancy" music video which landed a coveted MTV 'Video of the Year' nomination and has amassed over 700 million views on Youtube.

He also directed Iggy's second most popular video, with almost half a billion views, "Black Widow" featuring Rita Ora and has created short campaign videos for huge companies like BMW and Nike.

Speaking with 360Nobs about bringing his world-class expertise back to Nigeria, Daps said:

"We have some of the best music on the continent, we have some of the best visuals on the continent. Countries like Jamaica have exported their culture to the point that now they’re a tourist hub.

A part of that is the entertainment factor, and people are drawn to it. I know we can do that too. I was born here, I just want to push the culture further."
