Tade Ajiboye Created A Mobile Version Of Every Nigerian’s Favourite Childhood Game

Growing up in Nigeria, there were certain things we looked forward to when attending a friend’s birthday party, and after the jollof rice, the rest could be found in the party pack – if the celebrant’s parents weren’t cheapskates that is.

19-year-old Unilag student, Tade Ajiboye, built a game inspired by the toy every kid looked forward to finding in those party packs: Water Bubble.
The aim of Water bubble is simple: put all the rings on the bars as quickly as possible – and the game is still as addictive and annoying as we remember.

Speaking with Konbini about what inspired him to create the game:
“I’ve always loved games probably because I’ve always been good at them. And I’ve been interested in creating them for quite a while now.
After a conversation with a friend about the old games we used to play, I thought it might be a great idea to recreate one of the most annoying games from our childhood.”
You can get started on this nostalgia trip by downloading the android version now – the iOS version will be available in a few days.
